FW2tux v.0.2.3 (2002)

Derived from the perl program "FW1Rules" this program reads the
configuration files of Checkpoint Firewall-1 and produces a configuration
(shell script) file for Linux IPtable filter. 

Beware: inspect code does not translate, i.e. you may very well open
holes when blindly translating!

Checkpoint Firewall-1 versions 4.0 and 4.1 are supported - while NG is
*NOT* supported at all.



Requirements
	*  Perl installed (version 5.something will do)
	*  Checkpoint files objects.C and Standard.W 
	*  The script must be run within directory with a copies of
	   configuration files.



Documentation

As this is an ALPHA release there is no documentation - especially as
there may be another way for conversion. So development currently is
halted (from my point of view).

The script reads objects.C and Standard.W - and produces the shell script
iptablescfg.sh while logging into FW2Tux.log - all within the same
directory. The shell iptables script adds SSH access from the inside
interface (eth0) by default for remote configuration and administration.

The script is totally unsupported by Checkpoint or representatives.
