For Free: this is open source - so you can solve the problem yourself
and submit a patch or documentation thus enhancing the product/documentation.
There are mailing lists available for users/developers, sorted by (major) projects.

These books are on my own "to buy" list - unless a friendly soul is faster than me... ;-)

- I'd need some material for testing and work for the various
projects. Currently that would be:
- SSD for my notebook (240+ GB, SATA, 2.5")
- Firewall appliances for testing & development, esp. Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, Netscreen, Juniper
- Layer-3 switches (Cisco, Juniper)
- Android 4 Tablet 7"-10" with WLAN and capacitative touchscreen for various ideas & experiments
- iPad2 as audio studio interface
- some OpenWRT-capable WLAN routers for mesh-networking experiments
- some of similar/identical Laptops (x86 > 1GHz, 1+GB RAM, WLAN) that can run Linux
for experimenting with clusters and ad-hoc-networking techniques.
- some "Raspberry Pi" ARM computers as soon as they are
available - for lots of project ideas
- "Rode Podcaster" USB microphone
So if you've got something like that (or parts) to spare - wow... ;-)
