Please make sure that there is no error message at the head of the
fwdoc dump. As you are not receiving any STDOUT output, I guess you are
reading STERR out instead. 

Please check that, e.g. 
	cat file.fwdoc | fwdoc_verity.py 1> verify.txt 2> errors.txt
